History, Experience and Facility

Diamond Antenna and Microwave has been a principal provider of world-class radio-frequency (RF) rotary joints and rotating subsystems for over 60 years. Diamond Antenna has established itself as a technological leader by providing rotary joints for numerous ground, shipboard, submarine, aircraft, commercial platforms, as well as space applications. Diamond Antenna is a U.S. small business organization, whose organizational and departmental structure has been designed effectively around its primary business area – the design, manufacture and refurbishment of rotary joint devices. Our technical staff possesses a unique combination of experience in the electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and quality aspects of the RF microwave technology field.

Diamond Antenna and Microwave Corporation was founded in 1956. Since then, the company has grown to be a leading global competitor in design, manufacturing and testing of high reliability precision RF rotary joints and integrated rotating subsystems.

In 2004, Diamond Antenna relocated to its current facility located in Littleton, MA, approximately 30 miles northwest of Boston. The facility has supported the design, manufacturing and testing of new units as well as established a dedicated area for refurbishment and upgrades of aging rotary joints and rotating subsystems regardless of the original manufacturer.

In 2010 Diamond Antenna and Microwave Corporation became an Employee Stock Ownership Plan company. We are classified as a U.S. small business.

Today, Diamond Antenna is certified to ISO9001:2015 / AS9100:2016 and utilizes the latest in 3D CAD and RF modeling software to design and manufacture RF rotary joints and complex integrated rotating subsystems. The company employs an in-house staff of electrical and mechanical engineers, precision machinists, assemblers and RF test experts to support prototype and production manufacturing.

Diamond Antenna and Microwave‘s Quality Management System has been certified to ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100:2016 and in accordance with the requirements of AS9104:2012 applicable to the design, manufacture, and repair of rotary components for the Aerospace, Defense, Communication, and Commercial industries.

The certification was awarded to Diamond by National Quality Assurance, U.S.A. of Acton, Massachusetts (ANAB Accredited).

In addition, Diamond Antenna’s rotary component assembly specialists are certified IPC specialists trained to execute to IPC J-STD-001, Class 3 standards, utilizing lead free ROHS compliance as required. All members of the Diamond Antenna team are certified to the IPC-192C for FOD prevention and attention to elevated levels of product cleanliness, quality and workmanship.

Diamond Antenna and Microwave‘s Quality group plays a key role in supporting all aspects of production and testing of our products. The quality system provides comprehensive documentation of policies and procedures that cover all aspects of facility operation, manufacturing, and quality control testing.

The resulting manufacturing batch records and associated documents provide full traceability to all customer and regulatory requirements.
